One thing I want to make clear is that I'm not judging her one bit. I really dislike how so many people will come here and insult and patronise these kids/teens by saying "she should just do [x/y/z]" or "I got bullied and I [x/y/z] and the problem was solved". We're all wildly different minds - not everything will work or is even feasible for any one person. Also, most of these people are older and wiser *adults* judging with hindsight and experience what a teenager should do. So foolish.

Yep, or for having a big head or the wrong shaped nose. I have no idea if she has either of those - that's the point, kids don't give a shit if it's true or not; it's about getting under your skin (ugh, NPI). People used to take the piss out of me for having 'picky' hair (before I got dreads), every time I'd get my hair cut I'd naively think they couldn't say it now that I had about a millimeter of hair but it turns out they didn't give a shit. I eventually used PiC as my nickname; fixed.

What a false as fuck before and after photo! She looks gorgeous in the 'after' photo. It's called makeup. Anyway, changing your face before your face has finished it's development (of course we never stop developing but some people go through a rough patch as teens) is a horrible idea. And kids don't bully because of imperfections, imperfections simply give them something to focus on - they'll always find something else.

You're right about the doctor being a dick for reenforcing her already problematic physical insecurities but get out of here with the 'he's a pervert rubbish'. It's perverted to look at a face and say "this is nice, this isn't so pretty" when you're a *plastic surgeon*? Are you telling me you can't tell a pretty face from an ugly face because they're 14? That's so obviously bullshit. Is this where we've got to as a society? We're supposed to pretend that people aren't *pretty* until they're 18?

And also to clarify, I didn't simply adopt an insult as a nickname to stop the teasing. It was a combination of steadily gaining more friends, becoming better at beating other people in 'cussing matches' (replace cuss with diss if necessary), the insult becoming old, and me just becoming able to accept it where it had really got a rise out of me before. I couldn't tell 1997 me how 2000 me was handling things in any way that would allow younger me to be untroubled by taunting and bullying.

It's funny, I work with a woman who swears all the time and have to endure hearing her occasionally vent about how her she heard her 13 year old daughter swearing and how she's so much trouble. She also shares her complaints about her kid being moody, forthright, and prone to lashing out - all traits she's bursting with. So few people seem to understand that simply telling our children to follow the right ideals doesn't tend to work unless you also set the example yourself.

She looks like an ordinary kid before, I'm sure. One picture is completely bare and the other one is her completely made up for television. That's why she looks so good - it's TV glamour. I don't mean to be mean to the girl, I'm just saying that makeup would have made her look gorgeous anyway. That's the thing - once a girl leaves school she can wear makeup, plastic surgery is complete overkill.
