+pingpong wigwom He was too drunk to go out to receive the award, that shows that he's getting wasted at inappropriate times which suggests alcoholism and makes it likely that he'd drive drunk as well. Obviously it's possible that he's perfectly responsible but from when I was addicted to alcohol I feared getting my driving license because at some point there'd be an emergency and someone would need picking up, in that situation I'd be too ashamed to admit that I was drinking on a Tuesday evening. I didn't drink to the point of getting wasted but the tendency is to hide one's inebriation.
