  1. baserocklove Responding to comments is what promotes them to the front page so "i hope people don't read it because your comment" is the worst reason to reply to someone. Obviously I had to reply to you to tell you this but I deemed it more useful as it might deter you from promoting comments you don't want promoted.

  2. baserocklove Oh okay well fair enough than and thanks for not getting pissed off at the fact that I was telling you even though you already knew. I'll be preaching to the choir here but man is it stupid to decide that the more responses someone gets, the more popular they must be. I always think of the scene from Die Hard where McClane is sent into a black neighbourhood with a sign saying "I hate n****s" - according to YouTube he was the most popular person in town that day, *everyone* was responding to him! [Edit - I'll add 'assuming that asterisks denote solely emphasis' to that list...ugh]
