  1. As for genuineness (which is the correct noun, wrong as it sounds), yes I believe her core feelings are genuine. But she, like most people in the world, communicates through a filter and so the end result sounds hokey and contrived. You don't have to be famous to be like this, most people are fake to varying degrees. Rather than loving our true feelings, naked and ugly as they may be, we dress them up so they'll impress ourselves and those around us, and love the false persona instead.

  2. You see, this is a perfect example of people not getting life. And by her "I'm a superstar" affirmations it's clear that she won't be getting it any time soon. So she felt like a loser in high school. Why? Because the popular crowd branded her one? How did she remedy that? By learning to love herself and realising that we are not what our peers think but what we know ourselves to be? No, by chasing celebrity success. You're not a superstar because *other people* love you. It's about YOU!
