@phoboskitty If it was mild hot sauce it would not be an effective punishment. You're being an apologist here, possibly for the sake of argument, I don't know, but get real. If when I misbehaved my parents made me drink sauce that didn't burn my mouth *I wouldn't give a shit*. If you don't think the sauce is causing him to suffer then there's no point in us talking because you're denying the obvious. And real hot sauce doesn't hospitalise, I've been burnt by it as a kid. It just REALLY hurts.

@househunny7 Because they somehow feel that child abuse is not a criminal act. And I couldn't give a fuck whether he cried or not. If having the hot sauce poured into his mouth (and making him close his mouth so that it burnt all of his mouth, not just his tongue) didn't make him suffer then they wouldn't do it. It's the same old waterboarding crap. Oh, it's only a bit of water. Then why the hell are they doing it as punishment? Because-it-makes-them-suffer.

@23animanga It's not the same as straight hot sauce with nothing to soak it up. My dad also ate spicy foods (he's from Barbados) and I would try the hot sauce when I ate with him. It's *very* potent stuff, even now it'd burn me if I put it on my tongue without any food to go with it. As a kid I had to start off with a small amount before building up to what I can handle now. Believe me, pouring that stuff in a young child's mouth WILL burn him. Hence the screaming. They're sadistic cunts.

I understand playing devil's advocate where there's room for uncertainty, but we witnessed a video of a woman forcing her son to have hot sauce poured on his tongue and when it was poured into his mouth he was crying and screaming. You want me to believe that this was hot sauce that was not really hot? Why? If it was tomato ketchup the kid would not have reacted like that. Hold back my fucking arse, it's clear what happened to anybody with sense.

@truckbiz15 Hot sauce is abuse because he's not your age. If you'd had hot sauce on your tongue and around your mouth when you were his age you would burn. It's the way the human body functions, look up how the pain receptors react to hot sauce. Just because you can handle it doesn't mean a little kid can.

Well, I have some idea why Cenk did. @ruts17 Yes we all have different views, and if we can give reasoning then we all have all the reason in the world to denounce other people's views if they don't make sense. Somebody can say "i burn my child's fingers if he misbehaves, that's just how I do things", and I can say that they're a nasty sadistic scumbag who should have their child taken away from them. It is wrong to inflict what is essentially torture upon your children. Anyone can disagree, but I'll tell them WHY they're wrong.

@23animanga If the kid liked them he wouldn't be screaming. You would not have liked hot sauce before you'd built a tolerance to it, it would have burned your mouth for hours.

@rrhmorgan Oh get some fucking sense. They dipped them in hot sauce so you DIDN'T suffer the painful experience of being burned by hot sauce. You built a tolerance to hot sauce, which is why you like it. Putting hot sauce in a child's sensitive mouth burns the child, which is why he screams when you do it. Discispline and torture are two different things. Do you think you should punch a child in the face? Why not? It's simply a different type of pain.

@daviddaaannggg You *need* authorities to step in in order to make sure they don't abuse their child. Look, let's say it wasn't hot sauce burning his mouth up. Let's say they touched him sexually. Are you saying that if they, not as a punishment but for their own pleasure, touched the boy up sexually and filmed it that authorities should not get involved? That it's bad but not criminal and that authorities should stay out of their parenting?

@DarkGlitchX Jail time is not the important thing here, what's important is that if they treat their child like this they shouldn't be allowed custody of their child. If you touch a girl's vagina sexually you will have your daughter taken away. Why the fuck should you be able to inflict sadistic punishment that is virtually torture and get away with it? It's child abuse by every definition. Legalise the abuse of children (hint: don't) or don't allow this sort of abuse. They're not fit parents.

Long term TYT fan here - again, you Cenk and Ana have disgusted me. I'm of West Indian descent, my father always ate hot food. He'd warn me about his hot sauce, I'd put a little too much on, I'd burn. Now I can eat it because I have a TOLERANCE. I tried ex hot tabasco as a kid and my mouth burned for the whole evening. Somebody forcing this experience on me would be abuse by every definition. You sick fucks denounce waterboarding but condone what is by ANY definition child abuse. Disgusting.

@ruts17 What the fuck do you mean "what about beating their kids with the belt"? I don't agree with beating the shit out of your kids regardless of whether or not it's commonplace in some households. Because you didn't use a condom and your partner squeezed a baby out of her vagina does not mean that you can abuse that person as much as you see fit. I care about people, I don't think you have the right to abuse and beat the fuck out of them because it's your idea of discipline.

Some people think that because a person came out of their body that they can cause as much pain and suffering as they please to them (unless they touch them sexually, of course) until the day they turn 18 when it suddenly becomes wrong to torment and abuse someone. A lot of people shouldn't have children, Cenk is one of them.

@phoboskitt I know you want to reserve judgement, but the boy was screaming. He was screaming because he feared the punishment and because it *hurt*. My dad's Bajan hot sauce is nowhere near the hottest sauce on the market, but any hot sauce will burn a child's tongue. Hot sauce activates pain receptors, it feels like it's burning because your brain think you ARE being burnt. If it didn't cause him suffering he wouldn't have been audible suffering, there is no defence of what those sadists did.

@ruts17 Your logic is: if worse things happen then don't worry about anything else. It's stupid logic, and that's why you won't find many people who agree with you. How about this: I don't beat my children. I just sexually molest them. I mean, some kids get beat up while they're molested. Not me though, I just gently molest them. @daviddaaannggg It's bad enough that they should at the very least have authorities step in and ensure that they do NOT *ever* inflict this kind of sadistic punishment on their child again. If they do, and they should be checked up on closely, they should have their child taken away. It's not about them serving jail time, it's about their child being safe. If they'd have done fondled him he'd be GONE. But abusing him non sexually is okay? Bullshit. They're fucking him up.
