  1. His point was "in an age where we can do the following incredible things [lists incredible thigs], it's depressing that...." One of the incredible things being different to how he described it doesn't change his point and so it's irrelevant. As you said, it was nit picking and I just found it a bit arsey. You can say I'm being an arse in picking you up on it but nonsensical is a bit much don't you think?

  3. It's silly for anybody who hasn't experiences a lashing to form an opinion of the severity of it. Case in point, waterboarding. If you hadn't heard the experience reports (every single experience report!) you'd be forgiven for thinking they weren't especially bad.

  4. Surely you can see that he was speaking loosely. Whether it's out by a second or less doesn't alter his point one bit.
