Wayne Lapierre is looking more and more like "a frightened little chipmunk", a frightened little millionaire chipmunk. I want to know what Dana is smoking so I can avoid it. She is going hitler on the press when she knows all this gun tragedy brings in outrageous bigly money to the NRA and the arms mfrs. It is embarrassing that these "people" try to pull this hitler crap AND people actually fall for it. Their rhetoric is getting more and more desperate, more and more inflammatory, more and more ugly, more and more greedy. sad

The constitution was written by terrorists (a.k.a. slavers).
3
@goltoof - It was more about "pacifying" slave revolts. What do you think of THAT?
3
@Optimus - If we allow only the types of guns which were in use in the 1780s, very limited in rounds per minute, and it could be claimed that it is in the strictest adherence to the constitution. Those "constitutionals" can't deny it.
3
@Troy - It is amazing how many ignorant people still fall for that "they're commies" line. I tell them that McCarthyism bullshit only works on the ignorant.
3
An axis of evil and greed: NRA, arms mfrs., and those who buy into the rhetoric of paranoia.
2
@Optimus - Good one. // hey, goltoof, how are you going to stop a ten-ton tank? or a drone the size of a corporate jet?
2
@goltoof - what's stopping you? my first guess would be "lack of intelligence", "lack of enough people who actually hate that much", "lack of people who want to destroy most of their life and their families' lives", (".....etc....etc....etc.....and, so on......wow" ~ Sylvester Stewart)
2
@Scorpion - I doubt goltoof would ever apologize to a slave. :-)
2
@Tami - Yes. It's more like "white 'invader' supremacists"
1
@aido92 - Yes. It is amazing ignorant people still fall for that "commie" crap.
1
@Optimus - Good one. I do fear the growing "private armies, militias, etc.", whether taxpayer funded or not. Hate should not be armed!
1
@Harry - Yes, they could be called militia, terrorists, insurgents, saboteurs, etc. They were trying to repel and hamper invaders, not committing treason. "Militia" isn't a bad word, generically. It is defined by the actions of whatever militia is involved. imo.
1
@Harry - I understand what you're saying but the 2nd amendment was mainly a tool to "pacify" slave revolts, and, possibly, to help repel Native N.Americans who were trying to repel invaders. The constitution was written by terrorists, the terrorists were trying to protect themselves from those who were/are the victims of their terror.
1
@Harrry - That's quite F'D up when someone tries to justify terrorism. Did you learn that in your klan manual or your latest klan meeting?
1
@harry - The French Resistance was fighting an army of invaders, not their own government or citizens.
1
@harry - The increase of gun violence can be traced back to around when right-wing hate propaganda radio began. But it really took off right around the time when Prez Obama was legitimately elected and the so-called "conservatives" lost their shit about it. They started yelling the "commie" crap, and said the USA was going to be taken over by "communists". Yeah. Pump up the hate in ignorant people and give them a fallacy to fear. All the while draining their bank accounts. Works almost every time on the ignorant and/or hateful.
1
Yes to sukisuzuki10 and Demo Cracy. As long as the NRA keeps "getting millions" to bribe legislators they will never "get IT".
1
@Amy - You're badass in black leather. imo. :-)
1
@Mike - That is the culture in which the boomers were raised. Almost every day on TV, there was either a "WWII propaganda" movie, a "white invaders conquer the Native N.Americans" movie, or a "white invaders defend themselves from the heathen non-christian Native N.Americans" movie.
1
@C.A Franc - Yes. I keep telling people their "guns ain't gonna do shit against a large tank protected with depleted uranium".
1
@tallicafan - A well stated perspective which should be, at least, considered by all.
