  1. No. Payment is low. E.g.: Hollywood CG blockbusters pays minimum wage to graphic artists worldwide working on triple A movies. Studios open and close everytime and artists travel (sometimes) worldwide to get a job, same goes for musicians and sound design. Lead directors/composers in the industry can survive quite well, but the bolk of the work is still done by new/naive/underpayed staff. There is a Documentary about the studio that did "Life of Pi" (who won an Oscar, while the people that worked on it where protesting outside) but had to file for bankrunpcy.

  3. rahn45 Doesn't matter: if 100 F1 or 10 Triple A movie or 1 Project or whatever ultimatelly makes millions, those millions need to trickle down the chain to make everyone a good living. This goes for every line of bussines/industry whether it is artist, mechanic, office worker, cleaning staff, you name it.
