  1. Listen carefully to Bharat Karnad from 26:40 onwards. Anyway, these are just arms lobbying to destroy/sabotage India's Tejas and make India dependent on western manufacturers and milk India of its cash. Same thing happened with HAL Marut. The Marut was a excellent platform, but rather than upgrading it in blocks, the project was sabotaged and European Jaguars were bought to be "Made in India". India's Aerospace industry was lost. Every country, including India has limited cash. Its upto us where we invest in. We give it away to some foreign country to buy crappy aircrafts, or we invest it in India and get more Tejas ,FGFA and AMCA in the future and soon become a Superpower producing and exporting aircrafts all over the world. RK Tyagi said 320 air crafts are needed. With 123 Tejas mk1/mk1A + 80 odd Tejas mk2 , 40 more Su-30MKIs(still left to be delivered) , 36 Rafales = 279 Fighter jets! Thats ALMOST 90% of the required numbers. And i didn even count FGFA yet, not to mention AMCA which would be ready after 2030. So the only way these Foreign fighters could come in is by destroying the Tejas mk2 ,FGFA and AMCA programmes. Support Real DEVELOP AND MAKE IN INDIA. Stop licking White Trash technology.

  2. Please try to write with gaps between paragraphs. its kinda hard to read. Anyway, IAF is like a pampered child wanting toys from everywhere. I can say i want 60 squadrons by 2025. Is that possible? Also squadron size isnt same for every aircraft, it ranges from 16 to 21 aircrafts per squadron. However fine, if u want , this cause i will count 20 per squadron. Also some corrections : 145 Jaguars, not 120 . And 67 Mig29 not 62. Total Jags, Mig29 and Mirage2000 = 260 fighters or approx 13 squadrons. Su-30MKI - 13 , yes. Rafale - 2 Tejas mk1/mk1A , - 6 Total = 34 8 Squadrons or 160 aircrafts. 80 can be easily provided through Tejas mk2 by 2030. 4 squadrons wil still be short, but some of that can be covered with the FGFA by 2030 provided India actually starts the developement with Russia. IAF can have 40-42 squadron by 2030 if things are managed right. And talking about delay with Tejas/AMCA....thats what the foreign lobbies want! and you are supportin them.

  6. +Apoorva Mandavgane If it wasnt for corruption, Marut would have been upgraded in blocks with other better features including new engines. You must be really foolish to cry for Gripen even after reading and knowing what really goes on in the dirty arms market.

  7. Actually India will go for Tejas mk2, and that would cost around 50mil$ each. However, thats still cheap and worth the money.

Tejas mk1A costs 90 mil$ each including all spares, weapons, maintenance contracts, infrastructure, etc. Gripen E costs 130 mil$ each for the same(they will charge more later for upgrades and stuff) F-16 E/F costs 88mil$ each for the same (no transfer of technology, extra payment for upgrades or anything extra)
