With all due respect, any American who doesn't get it yet won't have their mind changed by a video. A puppet show, maybe.

@JakeBroe WP got cocky with Deep Throat, now they expect credulity every time a cub reporter talks to somebody in a DC bar. "Golly Chief, he said he's with a super secret branch of a super secret agency." "OK let's run it. And don't call me Chief!"

Long-term commitments are commitments to jobs. Short-term weapons supplies are commitments to victory. The military/industrial/political complex isn't a charity.

And, despite these phony "doves" we will continue to spend $850 billion a year for "defense." If not Ukraine, defense of what? Answer: Defense contractors and defense jobs for weapons that sit in defense warehouses fighting for defense. And boots on the ground that stay on the ground drawing salaries for defense.

Yes, but the dam cannot hold forever. They need combined weapons now to fight a real war.

I feel that Ukraine should have gone with the competitor of Starlink for their satellite communications, vital to repelling Putin from Kiev. Can't remember the name. Was it Verizon?

Our national defense supports jobs and the tax base in Congressional Districts. It's not really about defense of freedom or mom and apple pie.

My theory is that it was done from the inside with a pipeline vehicle called a PIG.

Possibly, but keep in mind that the republican "doves" are also "drill baby drill" people who might love to see higher oil prices to blame Biden. Still an interesting point of leverage to threaten to go ape. To get conventional weapons from Nixon and Kissinger, Golda Meir started loading up nukes. She got them under Operation Nickel Grass.

"Josep Borrell, the EU's foreign policy chief, proposed in July that the bloc create a fund with up to 5 billion euros a year over four years as part of broader Western security commitments to bolster Ukraine as it fights Russia's invasion." Five billion a year? I'm going to call the newspapers because I tossed a half a hamburger to a homeless person and might do it again next year.

Trying to remember if the Washington Post ran the Saddam "yellowcake" story with unnamed sources. That and the suspicion of WMDs, kept alive by Hans Blix, was a rationale to invade Iraq. If Ukraine wanted to destroy a pipeline, why choose Nordstream when so many other options were available? WP's history with Deepthroat gives them a permanent "trust me, bro" certificate?
