  1. Just today I heard someone on TV mention that the ruble is strong, with the presumption that sanctions aren't working. People on TV are generally 1) attractive, 2) personable, and 3) educated about and interested in American politics and elections. Imagine a horse racing fan in charge of reporting on the Nobel Prize in chemistry? Russia is going to be a frozen fish.
