  1. A good rule of thumb: If a lot of the rich and famous leave and area, over time that area tends to go bad very quickly. All that tax money pays for good schools, police, and clean towns. When that money leaves the state...well, see Detroit, and East Michigan in general.

  2.  @UmAdxXbRo  That's the point. Without any middle class there's no barrier in the consumer market. You then either have the poor and homeless not being to keep up or the rich and upper class leaving to get to a place with less poor and homeless. It eventually all folds in on itself.
