  1. Isn't it ironic that the chief apologized for cops actually doing something humane? He didn't apologize for the way cops routinely surveil and harass protestors, or for using force to break up homeless encampments, or for his own role in the abusive and homophobic bathouse raids earlier in his career. Also, why does he mention doing every thing they can to protect the Jewish community, when the protestors were on a highway overpass?
