  1. The eye doctor worked IN a progressive regulated state. This is the thing, with the MD system, lots of doctors get through the program - even if they suck. About 1 in 24 are incompetent and 1 in 70 are lethal like this eye doctor. In a Libertarian world there'd be no MD per say, but what there would be is YOUR reputation when YOU say this guy is good and give him or her your seal of approval. Not to mention the market could come up with who knows what? The internet is powerful at communicating.
