If the job of Politician was in the private market, Bernie would have been required a State licence, which would limited to a specific number each year and cost thousands of dollars, and so he would have never been allowed to run. Of course, in such a case, Thom would be all for the "Regulation" of politicians - you know, for the good of society. Essentially, Bernie coming out of left field is an example of the virtue of the FREE MARKET. The reason why the rest of society is screwed, is because Progressives like Thom support State regulated and managed markets which has only led to State regulated Banks, over expensive doctors and lawyers and even Taxi medallion scams.
