  1. The primary reason the unemployment declined is due to the way the government changed its count of unemployed. U6 is greater than 10%. Include in discouraged workers that simply stopped looking and you're at 25%. Thank you Progressive Socialists, thanks to rent-seeking and regulatory capture (you know, to keep us safe) the USSA is such an overpriced Nanny State no one wants to open up new businesses. New business startup is at a historical low. We all know how Progressives hate businesses, particularly if the 19 year old owner can't pay to raise someone else's family with a "Livable Wage" Thank you Thom, your softball interview says it all.
