  1. America is one of the most highly regulated nation States in the history of the world. You need a licence to open a school, to cut hair, to arrange flowers, to fix computers, etc... We're anything but unregulated. We have millions and millions and millions (unknown number actually) of regulations. The real reason why we're poor is because all these regulations prevent almost anyone with any amount of inspiration from opening up a business. Therefor we see a shit-ton of franchises smeared across the USA. They're great 'skill' is that they got through the regulations. That's actually what they sell you when you buy a franchise - they sell you a free ticket through the regulations and give you the State Hall Pass that says you can legally sell FDA regulated boiling ammonia washed HFCS infused pink slime and call it 'food'.  The problem with the USA is regulations and the reason why we're so violent is because free trade has been replaced with regulated trade. IOWs freely made interaction has been replaced with violence-force-based State regulated behavior. You can see the same thing in the ME for the countries living in Islamic States. The State uses Islam to 'regulate' everyone's behavior and all that happens is people are very violent, either outwardly against other religions and even within their own homes against their own family members.  The USA is anything but a free unregulated market.
