Deflation is NOT the same as Depression.  Deflation can happen during times of economic progress, as a matter of fact, during times increased productivity, we SHOULD see deflation - as an example, look at the deflating price of smart phones. Every year they are better and cheaper. Also, fuel is actually cheap, but it's ONLY cheap if you're buying in silver. It costs about 10 min of a work hour if paid in 1965 in silver. It costs about 30 min of work hours if paid in fiat currency in USD in 2014. It's the fiat currency / central planners in the central bank is destroying our entire way of life. BUT the average voter will never vote for sound money. The middle class is simply too immoral, greedy and self centered to ever vote in someone who made them live within their means and not leach off their children and grandchildren (for the "good" of the nation).
