  1. We do not have "crumbling" infrastructure. Our infrastructure is equivalent to AU and CA. It's better than EU. Thom, the Japanese couldn't build their way out. The only option is deregulation less government and less tax. let people create their own jobs.

Another Government created problem is the Government run Welfare Projects. These literally breed more of the problem: Lastly, Government regulations strangle the economy, though it is great to see companies like Uber tackling this head-on. What you want is Big Government to come in and give you a high paying job without having to work for it. That's not going to happen. Go learn a skill and freely sell it to other Americans. If your skill is low, like labor, then don't expect much money for it. That's not the fault of the free market, no more than are apples being cheap in summer. Plenty of low skilled workers around. It should be noted here, if the Government had a more restrictive visa program, we'd actually have a demand for low skilled labor. But the Government keeps letting in millions of low skilled labor, which increases supply, lowering price - and the Government does this on purpose, and has specific visa programs intended for this. Even high skilled workers are now forced to train their replacements. Again, thanks to Government policy.

I posted a link that showed we are ranked 14th in the world (all nations) and 2nd (only after Canada) when measured against nations (excluding small island nations for example). Your link shows we've moved UP from 14 now to 12. We're actually even BETTER in terms of world ranking. Sorry, but the USA has no major infrastructure problems when compared to other nations and ranks 2nd to only CA when comparing apples with apples. Further, we actually spend a LOT of money on infrastructure each year. -o- If you want a good job, you'll either have to have highly sought after skills or start one of your own.

Or GASP maybe we stop taxing the hell out of the public - giving people a break? What you don't get is there's a limit to goods and services. Right now many American mothers, as an example, must work and cannot afford spend time with their children - to pay for all these public 'services'. Services do not come for free. Many American infants, some as young as 3 months, are put into day supervision facilities (so called Day Care) so that mothers can work and provide the goods needed to make us #1. That's idiotic. Worse still, those kids will grow up with many anti-social dispositions, everything from depression, to cutting, to starving and body dismorphia. What you so-called Progressives are doing is undermining the fabric of society itself. Which, is now becoming evident. Decades of your Big Government policies are now becoming clear. From the ruinous job Central Banking has become to the Generational Welfare Estates / Drug Ghettos.

As for blaming Reagan, go ahead, maybe tell the Italians and Japanese you theories - maybe they had a Reagan as well. Oh, wait, they didn't have a Reagan. They did and do have a central bank though. As for different currencies, they will allow for people to choose a monetary unit suitable for their needs at that time, on that day.

  14. Congress may have the power to regulate the value of the government's currency, that's fine. We're inventing new currencies. You're free to use these, but if you should choose not to do so, that's fine too.

For example, cutting bloated pensions from unioned teachers, shuttering poorly run government schools, and using this money to fix up the electrical grid.
