  1. It looks like it would. Probably you'd want to flip it up after you already have a round chambered, and then after firing, moving the bolt would just push it back down. In fact, I might guess the reasoning behind this is that if you needed to make a fast follow-up shot, you'd want the aperture sight out of the way so you could use the leaf sight for quicker target acquisition.
