  1. Heosphoros That’s like saying “doing the right thing means supporting our cause! If you don’t support us, you are wrong!”. The CCP government can say the exact same thing as well. So who should we follow? “Police violence”, apparently the police aren’t even allowed to disperse or defend themselves against riots anymore, do you expect them to just stand there idly? Let’s talk about “violence” when somebody dies or when the guns start coming out, shall we? Because if this was in America, I bet at least hundreds of “peaceful protestors” would be dead by now. The police haven’t been getting more “aggressive”,they have been using the same equipment for pretty much the entire event, besides as the comment has already stated: Do you expect them to kiss you if you don’t disperse?. Do you expect the government to listen to whatever you say? What’s the point of a government then? They’ll give you an inch, the next thing you know, you’ll be asking for a mile. If I use your logic, how about I suggest that the rioters stop?

I guarantee you, Carrie Lam resigning WILL NOT end the protests, they’ll keep asking for more until Donald Trump becomes Chief Executive of Hong Kong or something outrageous...you give these protestors an inch, next thing you know, they’ll ask for a mile. Besides, the CCP will just put in another Chief Executive just like her in her place if that ever happens, you and I both know it, so what’s the point? China is honouring the 1997 Treaty, the extradition bill has ALREADY BEEN SHELVED for crying out loud, the people who aren’t honouring the 1997 Treaty here are the rioters and the protestors who are using this event as an excuse to ask for independence. If the government ever mentions anything about the extradition bill again, go ahead and knock yourselves out, but for now JUST STOP WITH THE RIOTS.

  13. Illegal? Since when was enforcing the law considered “illegal”? So the police aren’t even allowed the touch the rioters anymore? So the things that the rioters are doing, are they NOT ILLEGAL? China is hurting the people of Hong Kong? More like the people of Hong Kong are HURTING THEMSELVES. If the government gives in, the riots won’t stop until the government makes Donald Trump the Chief Executive of Hong Kong. If the rioters/protestors stop...pretty self explanatory...business goes on as usual... These aren’t “England rules”, the “England rules” you are talking about did not allow Chinese people to vote, it’s even worse, the British treated Hong Kongers like dirt during the British Occupation, China is PEANUTS to what Britain was.
