  14.  @twdll  No the US is NOT "working on it's issues" nor is it "working on a better version of itself" The people who are coming here are for the most part, trying to get away from violence and economic hardships that our foreign policy has inflicted on their home countries. That's what imperialism does. Charles Manson never poisoned my drinking water, neither did he tear gas my relatives for complaining about it. Manson never bombed other countries, turning their children into a red mist, for the resources. He never denied us healthcare, education, living wages or forced us to live on a planet that's on fire. Until we address the imperialism, militarism, racism, ecocide and genocide that the US perpetuates on a daily basis, then there is no freedom within it's borders.
