Back to 1974-1979. Workers demanding inflation matching wages rises to deal with a global issue, Too little oil. All that did was create an internal UK wage / price spiral.

Wages have not gone up with wealth creation since 1980. Capitalism as partnership between capital and labour ended. Wages became just another cost to be reduced to increase dividends,

A new economic model? Like accepting access to customers creates job creating investment? We had that model, and through it away in 2016.

@danielwebb8402 . We now have more expensive access to the EU. Meaning those who want EU customers are better off investing in the EU. We are just a market of 65m. 65m people being made poorer by the Tories, And UK services have zero access. The TCA only covers goods. Cross border services are a privilege of membership.

@danielwebb8402 , The EU is cherry picking. Choosing to let the City have access for services it cannot yet perform. Foreigners would be stupid to invest more in those services in the UK. Not every young person ends up working in the city anyway.
