This whole Maharashtra Episode proves that when a party try to become more "civilized" sensible rather than believing in "Hardcore Brute Politics" the Indian public doesn't like it. Examples: 1. Shivsena was bigger partner than BJP when it was more hard liner than BJP. 2.When the BJP was more civilized in Atal-Advani era they voted them but not as much as they do for Modi-Shah. 3. Congress under Indira and Sanjay Gandhi era was a much stronger party then during Sonia and Rahul Gandhi era. Just imagine Atal-Advani vs Rahul-Sonia(Close Contest) And Modi Shah vs Indira-Sanjay(Very Close Contest)

Firstly Maharashtra is not a pan Hindutva state.Even in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Ofcourse even Vidhan Sabha, the Congress and NCP lost many seats just due to Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi of Prakash Ambedkar fighting separately and not with them. The Hindutva vote in maharashtra's at Max 35- 40%, rest 10-15%is core Maratha Asmita vote (Shivsena mostly and some to NCP) and then Most is Non Ideological Vote or A Congress Vote(Divided b/w Congress-NCP Ofcourse). Also each part of Maharashtra has some strong goals like Thane Dombivli Mumbai for Shivsena the Maratha belt is for NCP especially the Baramati region and then in Vidarbha it is Congress vs BJP.

@bhaveshojha2010 Exactly. What I Mean. Even if Leader does Wrong things: Be it Modi or Indira but is Strong, They keep winning But if Leader doesn't appear as Strong and even if he/she does right things, public vote them out: Atal and Manmohan
