  1. AIADMK won 2001 after losing 1996 and it's a Swing state. And Left was continuously winning Bengal since 1977 Gujarat had become a Bastion of BJP,which it still is. But coming to Rajasthan,it swings everytime and did at that time. But MP had a largely unpopular Diggi Govt for 10 years and Majorly all Congress Govts except 1977-1980 and 1989-1991.So it voted For BJP hugely along with newly formed Chhattisgarh (erstwhile part of MP)
