@PankajDoharey A perfect sum up of the situation brother. India cannot follow brazen Capitalism like the US as it still has huge no. Of poor people,conservative attitude in economic and social matters, Indians believe in saving and not consuming and investing. A father starts saving from the day his children are born. Indians have never been risk takers,barring a few. We still have to uplift a huge population from poverty and bring them to a basic level of consumption so that they contribute in the Economy. Mrs. Gandhi was right in 60s. But I believe number of Banks should have been reduced in the 90s in the post liberalisation era so that there could have been more of private entry in the banking sector. Ps- I closed my app while writing this comment but your point was so good that I came back again to reply.
