Cliques tend to mix with their own milieu. So if you are fanatical Muslim you know how those sort think but nobody who opposes you will voice an opinion for fear you inform on them to the state Police.

With inflation at 50% it's hard to imagine the people are fine and dandy. With the new total ban on oil sales inflation will only increase, the economy can only shrink, and the people can only suffer. I acknowledge there is no starvation but hyper-inflation is deadly and has serious consequences (look at Venezuela)

Also, in case you don't know it, the rabid Ayatollah and his theocratic lunatics believe in the 12th Imam. It's an apocalyptic prophesy which means just what it says : "an apocalypse brings the 12th Imam". So here you have irrational, religious fanatics believing in an apocalyptic salvation and you say leave them to it ?
