  1. "We need to move on from religion", how heartening to hear that. Religion has played a useful role in human evolution : to bind the tribe together with common belief, and its spastic explanations of natural disaster were comforting to a primitive people. But now is the time for rational thought, the Enlightenment, humanism, democracy and equality.

  2.  @Abbadon380  , I totally agree. Anthropologists reckon 10,000 religions have been invented by every tribe that ever evolved. Religion is part of human nature : that is why tribes invent religions : to bind the tribe in common belief. Also, the spastic-religious-explanations of natural phenomena were comforting for half-witted tribe folk.
