Ahhh, think about it. If one were hiring a bunch of thugs for a coup, one wouldn't expose oneself to them. One would use at least two 3rd parties. The top men would only ever verbally communicate with their executives. The executives would sound out operatives. The operatives would hire the mercenaries. It is very likely much more complicated than that.
