  2. I didn't hear him say that we shouldn't value teachers, tradespeople etc. You clearly haven't had to call a plumber in a while though! Meritocracy makes our world safer and more livable. It encourages people to do the things they're good at, and it makes available valuable pathways for learning. I'd rather have the bridges designed and built by people who are good at their jobs than those who are not.

  3. I stuck it out until the end, but I agree. Later on, it was shockingly ironic to see him take a jab at Trump, almost as if to reassure everybody that he really is "virtuous"!
