  1.  @kimcornelissen1529  The people of those regions have been constantly shelled by the Ukraine government since the coup in 2014. The Ukraines started shelling them while they were trying to vote. Ukraine already told them to get out of Ukraine if they speak Russian as their native language, and so they are doing that and taking their ancestral lands with them. And they did so with a internationally recognised referendum with international observers and more than 90% voter turnout.

  2. At no time has Putin specifically mentioned nukes. However Zelenski - the fake actor president of Ukraine did when he demanded that NATO nuke Russia.

The people who have just rejoined Russia have been constantly shelled with the fake Ukraine government attempting to "ethnically cleanse" them. By the way, actor president Zelenski told the Russian speaking people living in Ukraine to "Get Out!!". And so they are getting out, and they are taking their ancestral lands with them.
