  1.  @gentleheart3384  I remember if I ever had to walk down Anne Street in Brisbane in the mid afternoon, which was after the lunchtime pub session and before the afternoon pub session, all the tiny pubs along there would be being hosed out between sessions. They all were completely tiled, floor, walls, ceiling and bar, except for the stainless steel drip tray. They would spray the whole pub with disinfectant, always the same one that was used in public lavatories, and then hose the place out and all the water and disinfectant would drain out across the footpath. The place would apparently dry out in time for the next session. As a female, I wouldn't have been allowed in those pubs as they had no ladies lounge. Not that I would have wanted to go in!

  2. I was on a flight coming into Sydney just prior to that storm. We weren't allowed to land for more than an hour as the main front crossed over the airport. It was amazing.

  3. Yes, the snow fields of Australia cover a greater area than Europe's snow fields. The amount of snow is probably quite different.
