  1. When I first moved to Tokyo, my biggest cuture shock was the " Honne-Tatemae" concept that is so deeply ingrained in the Japanese people. I was born and grew up in Switzerland with the background of Dutch-German. And both Dutch & German people are known for their no-nonsense, straightforward blunt way of speaking. It's the total opposite of the Japanese in general.

  6. Huh? Im a foreigner here in Tokyo and I have NEVER denied Emergency Medical Care ( I had it once ).

  7. ​ @kalinga2nihon Im a foreigner living in Tokyo, Japan. That statement is not true because as a foreigner, I have never been denied and medical treatment ( including emergency medical treatment that I got when I had an accident in Tochigi ).
