They always talk about safe routes but nobody ever mentions what. number they consider sustainable. There are over 100 million legitimate refugees in the world and that is before we even talk about economic migrants. Our infrastructure cannot manage with the current numbers, there is not enough housing for our own populace, the NHS is on it's knees, there are not enough school places etc. Then we need to talk about integration, at the pace of immigration this is impossible to happen so now we are witnessing cultural and religious problems and we have different cultural and ethnic grouos living in the same country but in entirely seperate communities which often directly clash with the native people This whole problem is only going to get worse and it is understandable that those people who have contributed to society their whole lives begin to resent having to compete for resources, housing, hospital places etc with new arrivals who are often favoured over the indigenous people. We see students accommodation taken, the housing stock and hotels commandeered by Serco for use by migrants. We see small towns who with little warning have a big influx of predominately young single men which is simply unfair as many struggle with the culture clash and it breeds negativity. I do not know the answer to these problems but we at least have to be honest and do not pretend that they don't exist. Those that virtual signal and insist that everything is completely fine are more often than not those that are not effected, but eventually they will be.
