@EarlyAmerican its pretty! And yes! Right up until the 1920s here in Canada. My great uncle had no proof of his birthdate when he applied for his pension at 65. He took in his mothers diary that had an entry for his 5th birthday. Here, as in many British colonies back then, boys graduated to short pants at 5 yrs old. The diary read - today was Georgies 5th birthday and he spoiled his dress with cake! It was accepted at proof of age !
