What's insane is that these corporations will spend hundreds of times more fighting unuon than they would if they just gave the workers a livable wage.

@itsacorporatething Thing is, they know that's not true. At all. There's plenty of companies out there who DO treat their workers right. Who pay well, have full benefits... and as a result their productivity is hundreds of times better than the companies that treat workers like slaves.

Remember that there's a difference between companies that appear to be successful because of endless stock buybacks, while also sucking off the government teat, and the companies that actually do well and can stand even in hard economic times without government assistance. If I don't pay my workers, and use that money to give myself big bonuses and do stock buybacks to artificially inflate the value of my company, then my company isn't actually strong, it just looks that way. It's why companies that do so are constantly asking for government handouts to stay afloat.
