There was a guy who's part of the Ethical Millionaires group, which is a lobby group of millionaires who are AGAINST the massive corruption and neglect of workers that most corporations use. They try to make the rich pay their fair share.
The guy runs a plastics company, that makes stuff like sandwich bags and the like. He has it in writing that if the CEO gets a raise, then all employees of the company, down to janitorial, get an equal percentage raise. So if he makes 5% more money, then every single employee has their wages increased the same. Sure, it doesn't match up the amount he's making, but it's still something. And he's put limits on the wage gap that's allowed. So a manager can't make X amount more than the staff under them. So if that manager's pay goes up, so does everyone under them.
It's one of the better paying companies out there, and the guy is still a hundred millionaire. It's almost like you DON'T have to pay starvation wages and treat employees like crap to make massive profits. In fact, treating your employees right is WHY his company is so profitable. He's always getting 110% from everyone, because they know they're getting the respect (and pay) they deserve.
I really hope that groups like Ethical Millionaires can succeed in pushing their business model on more companies.

@chadrageus Yeah, can't recall. It was a ways back that I remember seeing a report on this (and some of the other Ethical Millionaire folks).
I just thought that it was reassuring to know that not all rich folks are worthless scum like Bezos or Musk, who do nothing with their wealth except squeeze the life out of their employees to make more wealth so they can squander it on trivialities.
The EM folks use their wealth to live comfortable lives, and support projects to fight world hunger, improve healthcare, support civil rights groups, etc...
Where someone like Bezos might give $100,000 to some charity (as a write off) with the change from his couch, the EM folks are giving out millions or tens of millions, and really making a difference.
The world needs more people like that. Who earn their wealth by running a good, ethical company, not abusing the system and ruining the lives of their employees. And who use their wealth to make the world a better place.
