  2. Canada still suffers from systemic racism. We're not "as bad" as the US, but that's not exactly a high bar to pass. While black people in Canada are still profiled and mistreated by cops, they don't get it as bad as in the US because the cops target indigenous people first. You're more likely to die at the hands of cops if you're Native Canadian than if you're Black. But you're still much more likely to die at the hands of cops as a Black person compared to a White person.
