@rogerwilco2 It's been the Fascist Party for many years now. Trump simply allowed them to act more openly with their fascism than they used to.

@salome5055 I wasn't surprised at all. That's GOP 101. Lies, gaslight, abuse, cheat, steal... that's what they do. It's what they've always done. They've been the anti-America party for generations, yet people are always stupid enough to support them.

@tailwaggindragon There is literal 24/7 video coverage of the entrances where the metal detectors are. Republicans are CLAIMING that she bypassed them. Yet not a single one has been able to show the video of her doing so. Which if she did, would be recorded and able to be accessed by any of them. It's almost like it's yet another pathetic lie.

@alainarchambault2331 Actually, no, the Minister of War was impeached AFTER he left office. That was the point. It's to show that they can impeach someone after they're out of office. It's not a punishment just for sitting officials. Trump was impeached while in office, so it's a moot point anyway. :p

@MaryAnnMsbl34 You're wrong. Obama could 100% be impeached. IF they had any evidence of him doing something impeachable (which he hasn't). ANY sitting or FORMER official can be impeached. Once you have held office in America, you are FOREVER a "former official" and able to be impeached should evidence of such a crime be presented. They can't impeach Obama, because he's not doing anything that would allow impeachment. But technically, they COULD if he had committed a serious enough crime while in office.

Simply put, if there isn't justice for this attack on democracy, then America will never be able to intervene in other countries' democratic issues again. Think about it. How can the US come in to "support democracy" (even though everyone knows it's not about democracy and just US dominance) in other countries when they have completely abandoned democracy themselves? You'd have countless countries rising up to oppose America's actions. Russia and China could easily point out that America has given up on democracy at home and has no right to interfere in other countries. Real democratic countries would step in to oppose America's interference because a country that has turned away from democracy as the US has cannot be allowed to ruin other countries in the same manner. It would be the end of American foreign power.

This seems like a waste of time. The Republicans don't give a damn about America. They literally helped Trump try to destroy it, end democracy and install an authoritarian fascist as dictator. Why the hell would they vote to convict the person they were helping to burn the country? They still want to profit off his base. They will vote him innocent, and then suck up to the terrorists that they created to help them gain more power.
