To right wingers, a minority getting the rights and freedoms that white people have enjoyed since day one is a threat. If they lose their privilege, they'll have nothing. It's not like they're smarter or more attractive or more athletic or more hard working or more religious or more patriotic... that white privilege they've built for themselves with their systemic racism is the only thing they have to let them pretend they're better than anyone else. When everyone is treated equal, they'll have to admit that they're nothing special.
