  1. If you are registered and you didn't move, you shouldn't have to reregister. Registration should be automatic anyway. Purging the roles serves no purpose whatsoever.

Someone else other than you checks the mail and puts it somewhere and it gets buried under a pile of shit or accidentally thrown away? Or you open the mail and think "yes I'll take care of this" but life gets in the way and time slips by and boom the deadline passed. That's one person that got knocked off the roll for no good reason. You talk about the integrity of the process but voter fraud isn't an issue. Your blame is on the voter rather than the government who puts unnecessary obstacles in the way. This thought process is kind of fucked up considering that voting is a RIGHT and this is an infringement. This kind of shit is DESIGNED to suppress votes. Republican Mike Turzai is on video years ago saying "Voter ID is going to win Pennsylvania for Romney." This just affects poor people and as Amy said was mostly in Democratic districts when Trump won Wisconsin by a very small margin. Someone gets hospitalized, is on vacation, Working a factory shutdown out of town, etc. These are all legitimate reasons why this mandate to reregister fucks people over. You could have thought about these reasons on your own but you were too busy blaming honest voters. People should be just as ardent in support of their voting rights as their gun rights.
