@paulpaul9226 I guess the Framers were idiots then.

We can't be the beacon on the hill and then get mad when people flock to it.

@paulpaul9226 If you believe in the principles of the Constitution (you don't) then you should also see those rights as universal human rights that constrain the government from using cruel and unusual punishment on non-citizens. You are here because of immigration also.

You want to end representative democracy?

@paulpaul9226 You also can't draw borders into what is Spanish and later Mexican territories and then pretend that those people shouldn't exist there. Likewise, one can't have the best economy in the western hemisphere with all others subordinate to it and not expect people to flock there in droves, just like our ancestors did. But in typical fashion you come from an immigrant family and shit on folks who come here later, especially those who DO have a universal human right to seek asylum, but there's not really any need to bring facts into what is a purely privileged nativist position.

The US has inserted itself into numerous regime changes, economic warfare, and other destabilization efforts that we absolutely deserve blame.

Five years after "Kids in cages" and we are still torturing humans on the border. It's deliberate.

Maybe the US should stop destabilizing those countries.

@paulpaul9226 Your confederate brethren put Will Walker as the President of Nicaragua. There have been plenty of US backed dictators and puppet regimes that have led to poor economic consequences for the peoples all over Mexico, Central and South America that make them want to flock to the only economy that makes sense, but your willfully narrow view of history and US foreign relations weds you to an ideologically poor position on the issue. The documents in question are the Declaration of the rights of Man and Citizen (1789) and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948). Don't be a nativist douche. At least you are getting your wish though, we aren't necessarily the beacon anymore, with shitty health care and maternal/infant death rates. Oh well, as long as YOU aren't affected.

The comment section is full of whites whose families haven't been here very long criticizing other immigrants. WASPS never fucking change.
