@MadafakinRio this practise stopped when they found out a tressed animal makes the meat less tender. there was a time were butchers geniunly believed a stressed animal had a positive effect on the meat, hence why invention of bulldogs came to be. people forget how poor farmers used to be and that the sale of the product dictates the animals well being.

@glatzigoblin inaccurate. these type of cases is actually a rareity. being desensitized is not connected with being cruel. people who abuse or neglet their animals are either incapable to take care of personal responsibilities, or simply enjoying harming something that is beneath them.

@ghhn4505 theres a key difference between pleasure to kill and the pleasure of the hunt. would you say all hunters are potential serial killers? you can be intriqued by its process because it is a hard labor work. you can enjoy the craft itself but doesnt mean you like to cause harm.
