@nonyabisness6306 allegedly. there hasnt bin stated nor proven anywhere where a meetup ever happen or occure. thats an assumption. yes i did pay attention, apparently more than you did. but lets say a crime occoured under a company facility than this automatically becomes a problem a the company cannot controll nor be protected under an NDA.

no twitch didnt do anything criminal nor is this withholding evidence. in fact this entire case is what you call a private matter. meaning it is up to the company and its entirety to deal with the situtation as they want as long a a crime didnt occoure. if a crime occoures and theres EVIDENCE for it. than it is the state and a court that decides what to do and whats can be public and not.

because texting a minor itself isnt illigal. it is only illigal if it is without a doubt explicitly acted upon. you cant be imprisoned by flirting unless you can be proven intent and direct action. this is why it is up to individually companies whatever they allow it or not. they will inform the auhtority and than the authority will keep a tap on the situtation and gather up evidence until a crime occure. texting sexual with a minor is not illigal. this isnt the same case as you were watching or distributing CP

@humanman9920 lawsuit. they settled over a lawsuit. its different. it was DR who initated the lawsuit not twitch nor the minor.

first of: a lot of you apparently dont know how the justice system work nor care. Ya'll also need to differ a crime and alligation, also differ between what is a private disbute and whats a legal governmental disbute. theres actually no laws that says texting a minor is illigal. in fact it has to be a illigal action to happen if its gonna be a crime such as CP. this isnt a CP case. which means this is a private company matter. this is why companies has their own sets of rules and their own method in direction about interaction with minors. this is why they have their own guideline that everyone can read.

@humanman9920 its not unusual a counter lawsuit happens. hence why they came to a settlement. it is all related the contract where the unappropriated incident happen. whats deemed unappropriated is up to the the individual company

@EternallyGod half true here. twitch arent interested to be involved in private matters. any companies nightmare is lawsuits especially with evidence. twitch doesnt have any political power and even if they did. it wouldnt prevent leaks of investigation prevention. that would automatically make the company involved in a crime and a platform like twitch it would be their downfall. so the idea that theyre trying to cover crimes is just a false narrative that doesnt fit with the reality
