Me and all my tech American friends are also unemployed, while h1b visas tech employees take their kids to American holiday events, not out up ANY christmas lights(because they dont care about American culture), drive by me in new teslas and BMWs. I’ve worked at big fortune 500 companies where they had multiple unskill, unqualified tech workers going to 1 qualified indian tech worker to help them. Most are extremely unqualified in comparison to their American counterparts. Notice all the software issues and website issues, and cyber issues in the last 1-2 yrs?? Yea, thats American companies turning over their American workers for Overseas or h1b visas take labour who have no idea how to do the job they replaced an American to do. This isnt getting into the fact that they refuse to hire non-indians, and create a very toxic work culture consisting of corporate bullying, nepotism, and harassment to get their way.

@Ravi-rl8tt wrong, recession is NOW. Media isnt mentioning it because they lie and create misinformation. Fake job and employment numbers, but every american in corporate is unemployed or cant find a job. Germany is at least honest. They call this a current recession because it IS. You literally cant trust the media in todays age.

@mgophern yea both are the issue. My previous company Warner Bros Discovery literally created a whole indian tech HQ in bangalore during covid. Legal immigration is fine. Its the abuse and misuse of immigration policy, the immigration fraud from companies giving f1 visas jobs only alloted to h1bs. Its outsourcing. Etc
