dodger blue it would seem that the guys job is to serve drinks not regulate who isnt buying drinks. Its kind of the managers job. The ppl that do this only usually do this during closing time. Also, you dont know what kind of situation someones in. What if my phone died and I needed to charge it for a serious matter...should I get the swat team called on me becuase of that?! No. Its overreaction. Telling people to leave is one thing, calling the police because they wont leave is another. Calling the Police is an excalation, and things seem to escalate QUICKLY when your a minority that whites are intimited by black presence unrationally. You have no black friends to have predetermined bias against blacks so please tell me how anything you think about blacks is worth its salt. Unrational black intimidation includes: not hiring blacks due to belief in an aggressive workplace environment if you hire them, not sitting next to them on buses or trains though you will sit next to anyone who isnt black quite comfortably, not having black friends due to not having a desire to converse or interact with blacks...the examples go on. Causcasian REALLY need minority training...because you guys sayand do the most racist and awkward stuff due to your diversion of interaction with minorities(asian, muslim, arabic, black, spanish, caribbean, polynesian, etc).

All the commentors saying you guys are grand standing...somehow want to ignore this. Like they pretend thats not happening...blacks are NOT the only one asked to leave. The problem is NOT being asked to leave, but escalating the situation to police involvment, ONLY when blacks are involved. NOW these educated men have police records because of this escalation, thanks worthless manager at starbuck. Having a police record will further cause complications in their life because now in the future police will feel JUSTIFIED to give them a bias due to some random police record and they will say to themselves, why give these guys a break because theyve done stuff 'before', they arent so innocent. All because the manager overreacted. I hope they get their degrees or find a way to do way better than that manager in life. Smh.

jesus bro your really not reading the comments. SELECTIVE ENFORCEMENT of police ENGAGEMENT. Thats the problem. The problem IS NOT they asked them to leave. But they decided to escalate to knives and guns in a fistfight. The manager couldve just went to them and said I need you to leave....BUT take in to account that this "Not buying coffee", situation plays out everyday in every starbucks. EVERYONE. The police arent called all day on every incident. The manager is SELECTIVELY choosing THESE patrons to say well your who I will call the police on. Also they didnt call the police on other patrons who didnt pay that day. Just on THOSE guys. Thats not cool.

You aint gotta live in philly to see this happen, i've been in starbucks in Illinois, California, Colorado, and D.C., just to name a few places where you see loiters who are white sitting around...sometimes you see them say leave sometimes you dont. I'm usually that guy who DOES NOT buy a drink only because Im nota big coffee person, but the wifi is good and convient, so I use it. But to call the cops is another matter.
