  1. Only thing I would've done differently would've been to pack some rags in the water jacket. I can see aluminum chips flying in there. Be sure to get them out so they don't end up in the pump. @23:19... A good way to deal with gouges in a gasket mating surface is to mix up a little JB Weld and use it like Bondo. Fill the gouges, smooth it out, let it dry, then use a fine grit wheel to finish it.
