 @aylbdrmadison1051 which in and of itself is disturbing. our leaders need to be scared of the people. so scared in fact that they do whatever we want. 250 years and it hasn't happened yet.

ahhh but don't forget our 17th president that allowed all of these traitors to our country back into Congress, so they can continue or serving their terms and vote for laws the people didn't want. that was the biggest tragedy of all in this history of ours.

@dianemitchell1717 no they weren't. those that weren't alive at the time, we replaced by people of their own choosing. I suggest watching Heather Cox Richardson video entitled how the South won the civil war. and actually, her entire 17 part series entitled history of the Republican party.

@JessButNotThatOne it takes forever to get rid of a death row inmate. their average lifespan is 11 years. hence, he can sit there for 11 years and wallow in what he's done and what's happening to him. I doubt his fat ass will be long for this world, but that isn't the point. a clear and concise message must be sent that we will not tolerate this behavior from anyone.

@JessButNotThatOne well essentially, life in prison will be exactly what he gets if he gets the death penalty. not only will that be the end of it, we won't be forced to pay for his miserable existence for any longer than the time it takes to actually carry out his sentence. it's also important to remember that the prison-industrial complex makes tons of money. approximately $100,000 a year profit for each death row inmate. approximately sixty to eighty thousand per year for every other incarcerated person. either way, he's not long for this world and I think it sends a better message if he gets the death penalty. If you're wondering if I'm a death-penalty proponent, I am not. only in special circumstances do I view that as a solution.
