  3.  @kavisiddu  You are absolutely right Sir. I forgot for a while about Indian women living in other parts of India. Residing in Chennai may have blinded me temporarily. I do remember Hathras and Unnao etc.

  5.  Zaki Hafa  To tell the truth, not just rapes, but incidents like the dowry death of Vismaya also keep happening in India. But still women are free to study, get jobs, do business, and lead in many ways. That is lost when a theocracy takes over. Even India seems to be moving rightwards but Total theocracy is unlikely to takeover any time soon.

  6.  Zaki Hafa  You watch too much tv. Kumbh is over. And so is second wave. But it may not be safe to travel for another year. Anyway tourism is on hold everywhere including India. But once the pandemic is over, you should definitely visit India and see our contradictions. Yes there are fringe elements doing the kind of things that you describe. But they are really the fringe and have not taken over the country. At least not yet. If you visit cities like Mumbai, Chennai or Hyderabad, you would be surprised how different the country is from what the TV says.

  7.  Zaki Hafa  I would definitely never look down upon Afghanistan. Never. And I definitely think that U. S. should leave the Afghans alone. But I am only imagining what would have happened to India if in 1947, instead of the Constituent Assembly, if for example the naxalites had taken over.
