What's interesting is that what you wrote goes both ways. I could easily see your exact comment being used by someone who is very enthusiastic about the vaccine.

I desperately hope the polls are right lately.

On both sides. It disturbs me to see how many people believe that they were "freethinkers" who basically had the same mentality as those they were fighting so hard against. The virtue, signalling on both sides was disgusting.

That's great you were able to keep your integrity and lose your job. I mean that. You were in the position where that was possible. If you were living paycheque to paycheque and had three children's mouths to feed, it's not about your integrity. It's about feeding your children. The people who look down on those who took the jab through coercion, are most likely the types who didn't have nearly as much to lose. If you had been in the military for 30 years and it's all you knew, and it's where your pension was and we're all your friends were, and you were told you lose all of it. If you don't get a job that the vast majority of people feel no ill effects from? You're taking the jab. The one aspect of the vaccine that's so many don't want to recognize is that for the vast majority of people it was neither here nor there. It's not like it wrecked everyone who got it. It's easy to get up on your high horse when it's 6 inches off the ground @Peterbrendanalbert

Be careful with that line of reasoning. A good quote. It reminds me of is "kick the dog until invites, then call it rabbid". It's OK to condemn what happened while also looking into why it happened.

I have no idea if what you are saying is true or not. That's why I don't have a firm opinion on the whole Israel saga. I'm quite sure college kids on both sides have no idea either. They sure have strong opinions though. @willcruz943

@leonig01 it 100% was OK to question why the Nazis came to power. Questioning is always OK, end of story. I have an inherent distrust for anything that cannot be questioned.

@ickster23 like I said in my previous comment: that doesn’t negate my point. You want to extrapolate. I don’t. I using OP’s words exactly as they were written, and saying that the other side says the exact same thing. That was the entirety of my point. You’re so wrapped up in the fight that you see everybody who says anything other than exactly what you want to hear as the enemy. I’m on your goddamn side. I couldn’t stand the lockdowns, and I donated to the trucker protest in Canada (and I went to several of them) and if they try to mandate the vaccine and it costs me my job, it cost me my job.

@YOUARESOFT. that doesn’t negate my point

The government certainly has a role to play in public safety. As far as health is concerned, and people should be able to live how they want, and very little is given to the dark side of the Israel story, but that doesn't make your statement wrong in any way. I wish as a society we could have more nuanced discussions. We make everything binary which blinds us to the gray messiness of what really goes on
